Biography

       Elizabeth M. Bux is a partner at Williams and Batchelder, LLP.  She is a licensed attorney in the states of Ohio and Florida and in the U.S. Tax Court.  She has been a member of the North Carolina Bar since 2010, but is currently inactive.
        Elizabeth was born and raised in Medina, Ohio.  She earned bachelor degrees, magna cum laude, in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Music from the Ohio State University in 2007.  During her time at Ohio State, Elizabeth was active in many organizations, including a tenure as a baritone player in the OSU marching band.
        Elizabeth earned her JD from the University of Notre Dame, magna cum laude, in 2010.  Elizabeth was a member of the Notre Dame Law Review and had a note published in the Fall of 2009.  Upon graduating, she passed the North Carolina bar exam and began working as a trial attorney for the IRS Chief Counsel in Greensboro, North Carolina.  In 2012, Elizabeth transferred to the IRS Chief Counsel headquarters office in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a staff attorney dealing with abusive transactions and international tax matters. She passed the Ohio Bar Exam in 2013 and the Florida Bar Exam in 2017
        Elizabeth joined Williams and Batchelder in April 2013, and became a partner in January 2017.
